I am selling my trans and just wanted to see if anyone knew if it was stronger than the illed 02-03 wrx trans? It supposedly has the same final(3.90) and could be used as an upgrade to them and een some n/a guys. Just incase you were woundering why it is coming out, that is because my sti 6 speed just arrived yesterday :devil:

If anything I would assume the new one's are stronger than the previous ones. I've heard that the 4EAT's are a bit stronger than the 5 speeds.

The '02-'03 trans' are like glass. Stick with what you got.

Well chances are that it will not get installed until I install the sti motor I have as well, but there is a chance it could happen.

i don't get why you would get such a new car and then take the engine and trans out... why didn't you just buy a STI?
