View Full Version : DSG now tuning GM and Ford vehicles

dentsport

We are tuning with HP Tuners software now. We can tune any modern GM vehicle, sports car or not (obviously we'd rather tune your C5 than your mom's Rendezvous but we could do that too)

We can also tune modern Ford Mustangs and other sports car models. We can tune diesels from Ford and GM too.

Tune prices will be similar to Subaru prices for those interested. I thought that we'd let the locals know about our enhanced menu.

Take care, have a good time in this sweet weather.

So, just for clarification, you can tune a Saturn Sky?

how recent is modern? i have a bud with a trans am with a stroked out LT1... or not recent enough?

Sweet. I'll have to bring the RX7 down asap.

dentsport

I guess that the LT1 is a no-go. Some companies make a LT1 specific software but we probably won't be into it. We had a Lambo Diablo SV here with an LT1- flood recovery from Katrina that we couldn't tune.

How about tuning a Ford Focus?

Bimmubishi
12-05-2007, 06:46 PM
Deleted, there are options but since it's not GM we'd have to pursue some well known Ford tuning software, which is plentiful. We're going to make that our next target since we'll be running a Focus rally car for a customer next season.

"Uhhh... yeah.. Matt??..... when you come in today can you throw that F350 turbo diesel ambulance on the dyno and tune it? .. No.. no it doesn't have a piece of **** Hydra in it... I promise.. "

I wonder if it'll clear the door.....

Any idea if you guy's will ever be able to tune a Jeep?

My friend has an SRT-8 Jeep that he's been looking to get tuned...

LateApex31
12-08-2007, 01:07 AM
Probably pretty soon. The HP Tuners rumor-mill points to having SRT8 software available rather shortly!

DSG,
I sent out an email to the svtoa (local ford club list), which has plenty of Corvette guys on as well, since we share autox events with them.

Hopefully it will drum up some gm/ford business for you.

Emails or calls usually get the best response.

Yes! We are running a Canadian currency special right now. We also offer bartering, Montreal local film stars in exchange for AMC service.

I have recently bought silver Impreza STi 04 and as it has a DENT SPORT GARAGE sticker on both front doors i was told this cuold be the right place to ask for some info about this car. Its previous owner was propably a kid from Worcester where he wrecked it. If anyone has any info about it if it is tuned up or sth please let me know Thanks in advance.

Jacob, we'd need the name of the original owner and probably the VIN of the car to get you information on that. If you have it, just PM it to us so we can protect our customer's personal information.

We don't know who's car that is offhand. Many STI have those wheels now so ownership not immediately apparent.

Thanks a lot.

well, i didnt have my GM tuned by dentsport (they were not doing it yet), but for anyone thinking about this, even on a stock vehicle, it is 100% worth it.

I had my GM canyon tuned. the recalibrated the speedo to match my bigger tires, changes the electronic shift points on the auto tranny, and smoothed out the fuel system. increased fuel mileage, and truck felt like it had a little bit better kick to it.

It is amazing how restrictive an OEm tune can be on a NA car (I always knew it on boosted cars, but didnt think so on NA's). well worth getting done for anyone considering it!

So all laughs aside my GF worked for GM and got a great deal on an 08 saturn vue. Unfortunatly it only has the 4 cylinder and NO BALLS TO BOOT. Doesnt go over 100 (prob. not safe to) but it worries me sometimes because it cant get out of its own way. Could you work out something sensible with this?

Not ECU tuning unless it's a stand alone. We do suspension and installs from time to time though.

How about a Mazdaspeed 3? I havent heard of anyone, ANYWHERE that can tune it open source yet.. if you could you would have a pretty solid market for it locally..

But how does pricing run on standback EMS tuning?

Bimmubishi
03-15-2008, 09:37 PM
Northmiller, we'd love to. Presently we're installing a Mircotech stand alone ECU into a turbocharged Mazda 6. We are investigating new areas and hope that the open source community will come up with something soon. The 6 uses a Mitsubishi branded ECU which bodes well.

Damn, if I still had my SVT Focus I'd bring it to get a tune. That thing was running like crap after all the bolt-on's I put on...that and I was curious as to how much a tune would've added.

We have to finish the motor first though.
