First off, look to the left and check it...that's a 2000 Legacy Outback. With some power upgrades, CAI, exhaust, etc....a street sleeper. Here's the story:

I'm cruising north up Highland in L.A. and this car is coming up my 6 very fast, swerves around me and bolts up ahead. It's a silver Audi TT. Ah! The light turns red and he has to stop. I sidle up next to him and figure, what the hell, I'm gonna give this a shot! http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/biggrin.gif That's when I notice that up ahead there are parked cars in my lane--i HAVE to beat this guy within 500 feet or back off.

Cool.

I watch the light and take off in 2nd (AT). Redline it, shift to third, slide left into his lane with room to spare before the parked cars, and enjoy a nice 1/2 mile drive where he can't pass me, even though he's tailgating me! HA! Shocker: at the next light he shows me what a TT can do and roasts me. But I say, after swerving around me earlier at high speed, he shoulda been ready for a challenge at the first light.

Musta sucked being holeshot by a wagon. MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHHAHHAHHHA!!!!!

Um first off, IBTM,

second, not bad, but you should have let him know you what you were doing, that way you could have called it a kill.

BTW, I love the interior of those cars. The shifter is soooo cool.

Um GOMFB! one more thing: at the second light, he waited a full car's length behind me and did a ROLLING start...started moving when the light was yellow and was getting it on when it was green...I waited for the green. Oh well. No real illusions here about winning, but it was fun as hell to keep him in my dust for awhile. Wonder what a WRX woulda done...damn! gotta get one!

Yeah, I took one down yesterday too, in my WRX wagon. Only mod is a K&N in mine, and his was stock.

Oh, his was the FWD lower HP variety. Beat him by about 2 seconds when we were at an Auto-X.

Please, save this for the track.
