I have an 02 wrx and noticed that my high beam indicator light in the gauge cluster is on when the car is off. When I start the car it goes off and all is normal. Everything else seems to be functioning correctly- with the exception of one foglight bulb is out. Has anyone noticed there high beam light on when the car is off????? I cant seem to figure this one out.

I suggest you try pulling the daytime running light realy to see if the light is using that path to light up. There is a isolation diode that may be at fault also along with the DRL control module.

I will give that a try- my drls are already disabled via the connection behind the glovebox but i will try the relay under the hood.

What's under the hood is not a relay, just a dropping resistor on the ground side of the low beams. If you already have your DRL module disconnected that resistor isn't doing anything.

well it appears it is something in the steering column because when I adjusted my steering wheel it stopped doing it. It started doing it again today so I moved the wheel up and down and it stopped- looks like I will have to tear into the column and see if something is loose.
