guys, I intend to swap my MY03 WRX ecu with another one so that I can try out open source reflashes (my current ecu is ecutek). how do I program in my immobilizer when I swap ecu? my car wun start if the ecu does not recognize the immobilizer chip right?

is there any opensource tool that I can use? thanks.

2003s dont have immobilizer

2005+ STIs have immobilizer.

i think 2006+ WRX have immobilizers (but im not 100%).

hi,

I'm very sure mine has coz when I used ecutek, I swapped my non-ecutek wrx ecu with someone else who already had an ecutek, the ecutek tuner programmed my immobilizer chip into the swapped ecu but since I only had 1 immobilizer chip (the other one was stolen by a workshop) my console had the red key light blinking till today. (but the car still starts becoz the ecu needs at least 1 immobilizer chip).

btw, mine is a euro my03 wrx..

how do i programmed it in then? any advice?
