Today, manage to play with one JDM 2.0 Auto WRX, SGT( The new ID design).
At first, Thought the car should be now on CAN BUS, shouldnt response to standard SSM protocol.
trying to datalog, the car can communicate with EcuExplorer can pull rpm, manifold pressure..etc..
I am assuming the car response to SSM, my understanding is EcuExplorer use SSM to comm. with ECU right ?

Do further probing, found diagnostic green connector pair at passenger foot well..Fire up Ecuflash 1.34A...try pulling ROM..unfortunately not a single flashing method work

Question.. Is CAN BUS system wrx will still be able to response to SSM.

Or the new JDM still using SSM ,CAN BUS still not yet implemented on JDM auto rex.
