Sweet looking old VW. If I still needed a car, I'd consider it. G/L with the sale.

My first car I ever bought in 1991 in the same color. An absolute blast to drive.

Bump, just checked out the car. Pretty solid. I personally am not sure I can make the money commitment for it ATM(reason for not buying) Does have a few things that can be fixed but all-in-all solid litte ride there.

Thanks for taking the time to show me the car Jeff, I'll keep you updated.

Wow, I had that car in red when I was in college almost 20 years ago. Just seeing that interior brings back lots of memories - some good and some bad. The car was a blast to drive...until I crashed into a motorcycle and totaled it.

hows the gas mileage? how much would i expect to have to put into repairs within the first 12 months?

Gas mileage isnt to bad, its tuned for 93 octane and will do alright mileage wise, depending on how you drive LOL. Crusing around town it gets pretty good mileage. As far as repair cost, theres really not much at all it needs. Theres a few bugs that need to be worked out, but nothing that needs to be purchased. If you are interested I can explain further. Thanks

if you were closer to me i'd probably jump on this. what are tha minor things that need to be looked at?

It needed a new ignition switch which I put in, however I dont have a steering wheel puller ti install it the rright way, so its kinda just hanging under the dash:lol: so temporarily im starting it with a screwdriver. The only other real issue is that when you come to a stop it will stall if the revs are dropped to quickly but if you keep the revs up its fine. Im pretty sure I know what the problem might be I just havent had much time to play around with it.
I really hate to sell it, its fast and fun to drive but I need the extra cash right now. For an 88 its very clean no rust at all. It could be a great autox car or daily driver.
