IIRC this was the guy threatening to kill westside meet members because we didnt accept him. thats why i said that :).. If thats not you, then Ignore the ticket, they wont do anything v8eaterWRX 01-16-2008, 06:01 PM make a thread about how good the radar cameras are, and when you pay the ticket be sure to make a thread about the cashier that takes your money and how awesome she is.... stimobetta 01-16-2008, 06:04 PM Throw it in the trash...I did:D szeny 01-16-2008, 06:07 PM Throw it in the trash...I did:D thats cuz you are GANGSTA http://www.peat.org/images/big-gangsta-izzy-two.jpg shemoves 01-16-2008, 06:09 PM My understanding is that they actually have to serve you in person within a certain amount of time, I may be wrong though. Some good searching with google or perhaps talking with an attorney may benefit you. shemoves 01-16-2008, 06:09 PM thats cuz you are GANGSTA http://www.peat.org/images/big-gangsta-izzy-two.jpg Airsoft homies!!! Some good searching with google or perhaps talking with an attorney may benefit you. Yes that is true and they don't serve every ticket (its choosen randomly or unless its a running red-light photo). And if you are never there to answer the door (pretends noone there or person doesn't live here anymore). I forgot how long the time limit to serve but its should be 30-60 days. So far I have tried it twice and it works twice (I even went to the DMV to check after a month to see if the ticket sticks and its clean) My sister and parents also pass through the process... (this is just a dream I have last nite......................) boarderguy 01-16-2008, 07:16 PM i had one not get served i frgot to pay and i got pulled over a few months later and nothin showed up im completely clean so wait for them to serve it. racingfish 01-16-2008, 07:28 PM if the fine is $200 then take a pik of $200 cash and send it back to them. Dirty TR 01-16-2008, 07:36 PM Then they will send a pic with handcuffs. I remember reading a story like that on snopes or something. Funny stuff. SubeSTIle 01-16-2008, 07:37 PM they have 90 days to server it. if not served in this time its past the statue of limitations for it. v8eaterWRX 01-16-2008, 07:42 PM c-grunt, where are you at on this one?? racingfish 01-16-2008, 07:50 PM He just left here. sunnyniazi 01-16-2008, 08:53 PM Yeah I got one too, 46 in a 35...forgot that rural and 6th st was 35...still haven't paid mine yet, first ticket ever, I might just do the class :-( MrMcCrackin 01-16-2008, 09:06 PM um.....u do the crime...u pay the fine? honestly - look up the term "bench warrant" MrMcCrackin 01-16-2008, 09:07 PM Yeah I got one too, 46 in a 35...forgot that rural and 6th st was 35...still haven't paid mine yet, first ticket ever, I might just do the class :-( do the class on-line, you will need the hook up on a notary though TixArmy 01-16-2008, 09:12 PM Some linkys to help you with your search- Lots of great info here. Problem is most courts (and I know Scottsdale and Yarnell are some of em) just don't follow the processes set forth by ARS (Arizona Revised Statutes). They will find you guilty by default (fast easy $$ for them)... its up to you to then challenge the finding by appeal - the state 'should' overturn the finding and order the other court to give your money back. The fact is you have: 1. The right to be served. (If they don't do this then the court has "Failed to certify the ticket"/prove they have jurisdiction for the issue at hand). 2. The right to challenge accuser. (How can you do Q/A with a camera???) Link1 - ARS Website (updated each year) (http://www.azleg.state.az.us/ArizonaRevisedStatutes.asp) Link2 - Title 28 (Transportation) (http://www.azleg.state.az.us/ArizonaRevisedStatutes.asp?Title=28) You might find info that will help your case in other chapters (hence the first link) The search feature stinks... so you will prolly end up reading each title... line... by line... What fun?! Just keep in mind - the tkt you get is 'reviewed' by a person who is considered to be capable of determining who was in the photo. My friend vs Scottsdale - the tkt claimed he was 400 lbs (hes is Maybe 270?), 6'5" (hes 5'9"... etc... there will always be room for error. But you can use some of that info to help prove it was 'not' you... Hope this helped. But if anyone has found an error in this post, please let me know. v8eaterWRX 01-16-2008, 09:30 PM do the class on-line, you will need the hook up on a notary though aaron is a mobile notary for a small fee  Imprezme05 01-16-2008, 09:31 PM don’t pay it and hope you don’t get served. If you see a weird guy at the door with street clothes don’t answer it! Its not a Mormon missionary but a Public Servant Black-Falcon 01-16-2008, 09:40 PM Oh like the photo ticket I got in the mail from a malfunctioning one in Mesa on Southern Ave. Said I was doing 60, when I looked at my speedo and I was doing 50 (area is 45). Oh yeah my car is titled to my Dad, and they served it to him. He is 60 years old. Do I look ****ing 60 years old?! Whoever authorized the ticket is a complete idiot. szeny 01-16-2008, 09:41 PM i dont answer when its the mormons either...they are just trying to earn credit for their future planet gormonk 01-17-2008, 12:46 AM I got a photo radar ticket in the mail today and i cant go to school for it since i went about 15 months ago so what should i do ??? sell the car and get a civic subykid 01-17-2008, 01:24 AM i heard of this one guy, he broke the law, and got a ticket for it, crazy thing is, he paid the ticket and it went away! crazy how the world works. doesnt ur V1 pick up those radars? jrskeen 01-17-2008, 03:26 AM Jason, I thought I was in the clear because my tags were from out of state. They most likely WILL serve it in person. They faxed mine to my local authorities and served me mine while I was back home in VA for Xmas break. If you get it served in person, you are basically screwed. Pay the ticket. The only ways you can fight it are if there are other cars in the shot, or if you don't think that you were driving too fast for the conditions. Tickets are purely subjective. I had to just give in and pay mine once they showed up at my house and personally handed it to me. That way, the courts KNOW you go it. As far as I know the law......I think I know it a little bit...A ticket is not technically valid until its served to you in person. Its this whole chain of custody thing. How can they prove you recieved the ticket in the mail? Most police officers I know think the photo radar is BS and borderline illegal. I believe there is a case in the Supreme Court about it. italy wrx 01-17-2008, 04:43 AM If it's from Scotsdale, they will send a process server. I blew it off and the server came to my house quite a few times.. I never answered the door, but one night about 9:00pm, the dude was waiting across the street infront of my house. When I pulled in, he walked up to my car and "served" me in my driveway! They have 90 days to serve you. If you make it past that, your good to go. By the way, I got charged an extra $50 tacked ontop of the fine as a "server fee". C-grunt 01-17-2008, 05:53 AM ^^^Park in your garage next time.LOL TixArmy 01-17-2008, 03:22 PM Was just thinking - i 'Think' its legal for a process server to 'serve' you ... even if that means they are greeted by your wife/husband... if your legally together, they can server you through them. SO... tell your other half to never open the door or some thug will rob her. :p As for parking in the garage - - So True. |
