I had installed a pair hid morrette headlights on my 02 wrx sedan after someone had backed into my car, damaging the front left headlight (if sitting in the car). I had a shop install the lights for me while doing other body work on the bumper and fender. When i got the car back the lights wouldnt function properly, when i start the car only the left hid would come on. I then found out that if i turn off my lights, and then flick them back on the second hid turns on. But then when i try turning my brights on, it then turns the bright on the left side (the light that usually turns on initially) but then turns of the hid on the right side and also the bright does nothing on that side. I can get both hids to turn on almost 100 percent of the time using the off/on method, occasionally having to do it a couple times, but can never get all 4 lights to turn on. Ive tried switching the relays of each light and no luck. My safety check has ran out and i cant get it inspected until i fix this problem. Any ideas would be much appreciated .

dont know if it has anything to do with your problem, but did you unplug the harness by your glove campartment ?

Sounds like they did a "plug and play" installation using the factory low beam switched grounds. That's a no-no with HIDs. Move the ballast negatives to direct frame or battery ground, that will make the HIDs turn on whenever the headlight switch is on regardless of high/low position (as long as they are being powered from the factory headlight power) and switching between low and high will not affect them.
And +10000 for disconnecting the DRLs by unplugging the main module by the glovebox, if you have not already done so.
