I know it sounds like a lame question.. but I really don't know anything about headlights in general..

I bought this car without knowing what the headlights are.. and just assumed the guy had just painted the stock housing.

When my low beams stopped working.. I thought I would try to wiggle some wires.. and found the ballasts so I'm pretty sure that they are HID. Now, one of passenger side high beam went out and I need to take it in to get fixed. I thought I should at least know what headlights I have first.

The pics are dark.. I know.. but I'll try to get better ones as soon as I find my camera. These are just cell phone pics.

yup they look like JDM lights to me and it might just be a buld that you need to have replaced.

Sorry those pics are pretty worthless. Could be JDM's but need much better pics to be sure.
But since they are definitely not stock headlights you may want to think twice about taking it to a dealer. Best to find a good independent Subaru shop in your area that is familiar with aftermarket mods, or perhaps a fellow member with electrical knowledge who is willing to help you out. Try posting in your regional forum (and get those better pics).

You could try to part em out if you don't want to deal with it... They would get eaten up on this board extremely quick.

i'm pretty sure they are. but they also look like they're in bad shape.

they're a little clouded over.. and a few tabs broke off in an accident.

So yah.. a little rough.
