I need some foglights for my 98 Legacy L wagon...
I have tryed the walmart $20 foglights before, and have had 2 sets of them crack and break into smitherenes.
What is a Decent Foglight that I can use that doesn't crack??
preferable on the "bargain" pricerange please :)

yeah. sometimes even 80 dollar streetglow or offbrand style fogs crack. just invest in a good set of hellas or cibie's and you shouldnt have any problems. i got a pair of hella ff1000 driving lamps for 120 bucks here in the classifieds.

I was really trying to not spend 120 bucks on some simple foglights for the beater ...

i feel your pain. its just not worth spending 20,40,even closer to 100 on cheezy lights. especially after youve spent what you have already...
maybe get a cheapo projector style foglight.. i would think those lenses will hold up better than regular reflector based lenses.

can't you wrap the foglight lens with m3 clear protective film to prevent rocks cracking your foglights? I bought some rockblocker for my bugeye fogs and so far no cracks yet!

cracking from rocks is one thing, but many cheaper lights use non-tempered glass that breaks from the heat that is generated by the bulb. I don't think a protective film would help much in that case, except prevent the pieces to fall out.

+12345 for heat cracking, not road debris.. ive seen hot lenses break instantly when cold water hit the glass.

My PIAA 002x's even cracked but thats under pretty extreme ice coated to operational conditions.
On the other hand I sealed my stock bug eye fog with a little clear silicone almost 3 years ago and Its a true like new fix.

I used some genuine rockblocker foglight film on a set I had... the lights got so hot it burnt the film up and turned it brown !
