They are not made by Subaru even factory Subaru HID parts are not made by Subaru. They are made by Matsu$hita/Ichikoh. (The $ is an s. It starred out the word because that brand name contains another word for poop.) All those kits like that are going to be lower quality than OEM components since they are not regulated like OEMs are. The same thing that happened to your old kit will more than likely happen to this one as well. And don't let any kind of warranty fool you into thinking that this is a good product because the company will more than likely be out of business before the term is up. But you are in luck because you have an 06 Impreza that has factory projectors that use an H7 capsule. The H7 and a D2S HID capsule have the same length. If you go to www.hidplanet.com they sell H7 adapters that allow you to run a REAL OEM D2S capsule in your lights. Now either go back to EBAY or hidplanet's classifieds and buy a set of OEM ballasts and bulbs from some random car (probably about the same price as that kit) and put them in your car. It will not be nearly as good of a light spread as having HID projectors but you won't blind people and your HIDs will probably outlast your car.

cheapo no name hid kits suck. stay away. if anything get good oem 4300k phillips bulbs and the h7 adaptor. its not perfect output, but its fair. you can probably search for threads with lotsa good info.

Regular male spade conectors from your local auto parts store or Walmart will go into the H7 plug. Then all you have to do is run those wires to the ballast.

a 6000k lamp is not going to give you as much usable light output as a 4300k bulb. 4300k is oem, so thats why a 350z may look better. not to mention a 350z probably has better projectors than a usdm sti.
