i put in some LEDs bulbs (168) into my parking lights. now that winter came along (chicago) they starting flickering, looked like a strobe light. so i got some different ones but them in, month later they start strobing too. but sometimes they are fine.

so do LEDs not work well in cold weather?

The LED's themselves are fine at low temps, however the control circuitry may not be. A good reason not to buy the cheap parts store ones.

Agreed!

Almost every LED on my car is from Super Bright LED's. It's relatively cold out and no problems.

The only one's that are not are the plate lights. Those are from V-LED's. One lamp has begun flickering. I wanted to try out their products. When it finally goes out, I'm getting the one's in the picture above.

Incidentally, I just tried logging onto V-LED's website and I'm getting the "HTTP 404 Not Found" message. Also V-LED's never shipped an order to me; and they've been removing/adding items w/o notice to the effect and/or changing prices. Perhaps they are really gone and this would not surprise me.

Thus far, if you want quality and a warranty to back up their product, buy from Super Bright LED's.

Happy Motoring!

Ive got to remember to order a few more set. they are simply awsome and exactly what I was hoping for. The are super bright and work great in conjunction with bugeye markers wired for blinking.

Be sure that you match LED color to lens color. Like Red LEDs in Red housings, Amber LEDs in Amber housings since LED output is color spectrum selective. Also stick with anything Surface Mount/Flux/High-Power instead of the multiple 3mm/5mm T type LEDs, they output and spread light far better. Otherwise you won't maximize the light output.

Is is a consistent strobe, or a flicker?

This post is over 3 months old, and the OP has not been back on the board for quite some time.
