Hi all im thinking about putting foglights into my 2005 impreza 2.5 rs. However I am not too familiar with how to go about this. I looked at the JDM kits although they look nice, they are costly and require removal of the bumper.

So I guess I am looking for a good surronding bezel that lets a good amount a of light through without modifying the body

I tried looking for fog lamps but don't really have an idea on what to purchase. I know PIAA makes a good lamp, and I would want to replace the bulb with a yellow and/or bluish.

You can get a light bar and aftermarket fogs/driving lights or just looked in the FS forums for a used set of OEM fogs. You might already have the wiring in there, just need the switch and relay.

Yea not looking to add a lightbar, but what kind of bulb would I be able to put in the stock location?

H3 is the bulb size for the foglight

+1 for the jdm fogs they look awsome, but -12345 for having to remove the bumper beam.

just find a set of stock 04/05 fogs in the private classifieds or on ebay. dont know how the output is, but theres really no other options to pop bigger and better lights in there without heavy modification.

You don't HAVE to replace the bumper beam, you can modify the usdm one, do a search. Frankly it doesn't take that long anyways.

Blue bulbs are never good for ANY weather

You can either get the OEM wiring/switch/relay set-up or you can just custom make one, using a on/off switch, wires to battery and foglights and ground.
