you wont get there with the .63. You will need the GT3076R with the .82

Marginal at best... the .63 will probably spool about 100-200 rpm faster but will choke the motor with backpressure. the .63 was designed for the 1.8-2.0L engine. for the 2.5 you NEED the .82 the spool would be barely noticeable and the power difference up top would be huge.

I loved the .63 on my 2.5L, spooled about 400 rpm earlier than the .82. My car did 380 WHP on pump with the .63 at 24 psi. The .82 made 410 WHP at the same boost. The the street I would stock with the .63. You can always move to the .82 in the future, you can buy just the .82 exhaust housing.

My experience mirrors Mick's to the T. What the .63 gives you below 5.5K, the .82 gives you above 5.5K. It all boils down to where you want the powerband, and how spool sensitive you are.

I went from the stock vf39 to the 30r w/ .82 AR turbine housing. Peak torque moved from around 3.5K rpm to about 4.0K-4.2K rpm. But the increase in power is so much that it is worth the wait. Save yourself the money (from switching turbine housings in the future, .63 to .82) and go with the larger turbine housing. You wont regret it.

My spoolup was the same going from a .63 to .82 when I added a Gruppe-S unequal length header that was also wrapped. AVCS tuning on my car wasnt changed: 30 degrees up to 4k rpm and then tapers off.

Top end was definitely noticeable between the 2 housings.
