Need help identifying the wire that goes under the timing cover somehow got worn down and got cut off for this plug. Anyone know what that wire does? It looks like a ground wire. Can I go without replacing it?

the pic is pretty crappy, i dont know what you are exactly pointing to. if its what i think it is, thats connection f24.. probably important as it is part of the a/c system.
from what i understand (someone please correct me if im wrong!!!!)
pin 3 connects to the magnetic clutch to engage the a/c compressor
pin 2 and 1 connect to a thermal protector.
the other end of this connection looks like it goes to the a/c relay, a pressure switch, and a direct power connection
seems to me like it would be important.. anyways, i dont have my car availible to look at, this info is just from glancing at the a/c wiring diagram... i may be wrong.

o, i think i see what youre pointing to in the picture. i def think that is the switched ground to engage the magnetic clutch for the a/c compressor.

Anyone know the part number for the following connector? It looks like it was cut by my mechanic.

not sure there is a part number without the clutch or something.

the only identification i could find for the part is connector f24.. i would just go check at a dealer.

Here is another picture. It looks like I might be assed out of A/C. I found some dried urine near the alternator, which I'm assuming a mouse needed a warm dry place to stay from the weeklong storm here in California and decided to snack on the wire. Anyway the wire that is missing is from that connector near the look and it goes down behind the alternator cover, which looks like it goes down into the magnetic clutch? Subaru doesn't have a part # so it looks like the whole compressor would have to be replaced. Can anyone confirm this wire?

man i hope you wouldnt have to buy a whole new compressor.. maybe just go to a junkyard and pop one off another car??
anyway heres a wiring diagram of the part, hope it helps
