I park my 2000 2.5RSImpreza in the garage in the winter. Every week or so I start it up and let it run for about 15-20 mins. Its equiped with a new red-top Optima bat. Today I let her run for 20 mins and when I went to shut it down the idle was erratic and the volts where down to 7-8 on my custom gauge. I went to give it gas and the car stubble like crazy so I shut it down And could not restart it up????

Any ideas what is wrong???

broken alt belt? did you have the heater on full blast with the headlights while idling?

No not broke? low heat fan, no lights....

whens the last time you changed the gas?
I had the same problem with an old Motorcycle i had

check your alternator and the wiring. Might be a bad connection to the battery terminals too, maybe sand them and reconnect it.

+1, a little WD-40 and a wire brush will fix ya up good... either that or your alternator es borked
