I finally have enough money to set my car up for stage 2 but I have a few concerns before I do it

1. The current engine mods to my car are Greddy TiC catback exhaust, AEM CAI and and HKS SSQV (the last two I had put on the car before I really knew what I was doing  and I am taking them off soon) I was just wondering if I got the TBE setup and did the stage 2 flash will leaving the BOV and the CAI have any negative effect on the gains I should see if I didn't have those parts installed and will the BOV and the CAI cause any damage to my engine after going stage 2? If so puting the stock BPV and air box are no problem I just don't really fell like taking them off yet :p.

2. I noticed that there are two stg 2 maps. One for 91 octane and one for 93. I can only find 92 where I live. I was wondering if I should just run the 91 map w/ 92 fuel or add octane booster to my gas and run the 93 map.

The reason I'm trying to find out is simply because I don't want to be one of those people who post threads saying "I just installed XXXXXX on my car and now it's not running right/not running at all, PLEASE HELP!!!" Any info you can give me is appreciated. Thanks for helping me out

1. go back to stock intake and bpv, your car will run better

2. either should work, I would just run on the 91 map

I know all about the BOV robbing power on a stock setup which is why I plan on taking it off, but will leaving it and the CAI on and doing the stage 2 cause any damage?

I've read that the people at Cobb have already said that running an SPT or Cobb short ram intake is fine at Stage 1. As for what octane map you should choose, if 93 is not readily available in your area...pick the 91 octane map.

No problems so far after going to a Cobb Stage 2 map, and leaving my AEM CAI and stock BOV on. To be 100% sure I'll throw the car up on a dyno next month to measure the A/F ratio.

My AEM CAI did make my WRX run a little lean in the lower rpms and a little rich at WOT before going to the Stage 1 Cobb map, but after the reflash...things were good. So I'm not too worried about the AEM CAI at Stage 2 using the Cobb map (v2.0)...car starts normal, I have a nice smooth stable idle, and the power at WOT is rock steady.

Allrighty then, looks like the ssqv is coming off sooner than I would've liked. That stock BOV is such a pain in the @$$ to put back on too, oh well thanks for the info guys, I really appreciate it.
