View Full Version : protuned stage 2 or stage 2.5 wrx?

04 wrx.

what would you guys do?

protuned stage 2 with other goods such as suspension, rims, gauges, etc. or stage 2.5 wrx with a vf-39 etc ..as you all know know im paranoid about my tranny with my current xpt stage 2.5 setup

Anyways, to answer your question a protuned stage 2 is lots of fun, quick spool and decent power. vf39 is also lots of fun, a bit more laggy but lots more topend (I dont mind lag).

Your first post is a bit difficult to understand, do you already have suspension, gauges, wheels, etc? If not, definitely do a protuned stage 2 and use the extra money for the other stuff, thats what I did with my old bugeye. vf39 power and stock suspension/brakes is the wrong route imo. I would rather have a well rounded car rather than all out power.

I would post in the right forum is what I'd do. Then I'd state my car's uses so that people could give me appropriate answers vs. pulling something out of their butt. If it's a daily driver, stage 2 with suspension changes is a waste for example, so STATE what you want.
