Im having a problem with my rpms not going over 4500. Ive had the motor checked. No mechanical problems. Im thinking it has to be a wiring issue, so does anyone know where I can get my wiring checked out without ripping the whole car apart?
Also there was a high stall converter and it was taken off. can that cause the rpm problem?

The thottle position sensor may have a problem.

is that located in or near the trans or is that in the engine somewhere?

It is mounted on the throttle body for the engine.
