okay...my super duper awesome steal of a deal on a full exhaust with UEL headers didn't work out (guy didn't have "time" to remove the exhaust and ship it to me)

so i decided to keep my money and just do this.

i'm going to buy the real borla headers off boxer4racing

and then go to a well recommended exhaust shop by a friend to get a custom HFC, midpipe, and axleback made.

but i know i'm forgetting something

...o2 sensor fix? thats the thing right?

so for my 2.5i wagon where do i purchase this, and how do i guarantee i won't throw any cells? :cool:

Depending the "custom" cat, if it has an o2 bung, just put the cat far enough up toward the headers so that the o2 sensor will reach. However, we really can't help you out unless you define "custom hfc."

seems like the 07 2.5i's will require a O2 sensor extension when converting to the 05 style exhaust setup (which is what the borlas will be). you can get one from casper's electronics, Inc in IL. or on thier website for about $40 shipped. Zepp has one and has no CEL's so far he said. been a couple weeks since hes had it installed.

if your goin with custom cat and catback why spend all that on real borlas? might as well save bucks on that and get the reps

and found a good deal on real headers from a friend

and i don't have the money to purchase cat and full exhaust, which is why i'm going custom

my friend recommended me to a shop that did the exhaust for his STI, top notch work

um ok so you have 700 bucks that means you have to waste it all? how is the headers a good deal through a friend when your buying new from a site?

i did not tell you to buy a cat and full exhaust i simply stated it wont matter how the replicas are because the rest will be customed to fit

oh no i'm saying, scratch the site. a friend of mine can get them for me for $275

but again please explain the differences between your friend and the ebay replicas?

Cause how i see it, your gettini a pipe with bends, both stainless steel, neither will really have a warranty,.... and one costs more

because replica is harder to find. and i feel sketched out spending that much money on ebay. when i can pay in person and have the headers handed to me right there
