The gas pedal in my 2.5i is really light, makes me miss the pedal in my Jeep TJ. Especially when going to and from work with the steel tips on, I can't feel the pedal at all, which leads to over/under reving. My question.. is there any easy way to put a little more resistance on my gas pedal? Would it mess up the electronic throttle control at all? Thanks for any help.

No. The reason for that is the DBW. It stinks but we have to deal with it.

I had the same complaint too. You do get used to it after a while, yes I wear steel toes all the time too. I haven't looked to hard at the gas pedal DBW unit but when I did look at it there is no external return spring to replace or adjust. Not sure if you could disassemble it and do some thing about it, thats for some one else to try.

i havnt looked at the hinge on the accel pedal but i bet there is a spring inside of the hinge area and stiffening that spring would do what you are looking for. much easier said than done, im sure. worth taking a look, though.
