what exactly does this thing do?

boost controler changes the amount of boost your pushing to lower for better mpg or higher for more hp

so what's so damn good about this one? seems expensive

brand name basically its prefrence its a auto boost controller witch is alot easyer to control then a manual and having to get under your hood and change it

Haha, thanks for explaining blackout801, I was planning on using this as a failsafe for methanol injection to revert to wastegate boost should I run out of water/meth, but I'm going a different route. You can essentially use it to change boost pressure on the fly, also as a boost gauge since it has a digital readout. And if you look around at other electronic controllers, you'll see this isn't too bad, the Greddy Profec E-01 and HKS EVC 6 retail at over 500 and others like the Apexi AVCR are around 375.
