Hi everyone, I had a strange experience tonight. I tried to start the engine and it didn't at the first time. All electronics, fuses and battery are normal. It just acted like the driver didn't step on the clutch, just no crank. Anyway, I started checking the wires around the clutch coz I know there is a switch there to enable the ignition when you step on the clutch. When I looked at that area, I found out there is a pair of un-pluged harness just look like the speaker plugs but in green. I tried to plug them together and turn the key. I am luckly enough to start my car this time and the CEL just keep flashing at a same speed. Then I un-plug it the turn the key again and everything just works fine this time. So I just wonder why it happened and what is that harness do? It seems like a self testing mechanism to me.

Anyone had the same experience?:confused::confused:

those green connectors put the car in test mode. dont connect em unless you know what youre doing with em

did you check the connector for the clutch switch?

what did you do to actually get the car to start?

After I plug the green harness, the car can start right away. Then I turn it off, un-plug the harness. Everything's back to normal, hopefully.
