Well I am looking for a set of 245-40-17 or 245-45-17 with more then 50% life left in them. Please let me know what you have.

I have 245/40/17 Kuhmo SPTs...Seriously they are great daily drivers and I tracked on them once and they did very well at the track...At most 5k on them They seriously look new I bought car new in 2003 car has 25k total on it so just to give you a gauge on how much I drive it...Sits in garage all winter.

Lower profile usually gets you better performance...lol

I have 235/40R17 on my car and it looks funny. It's really TOO low profile. I second the 45 aspect comment.

Well I just wanted to see if anyone had a set of tires with 80% of life left in them. I will be going to the track and a newb like me can't run around with R-comps so please post what you have.
Kumho MX... lots of people love these as track tires.

Or find a set of takeoff RE070's (which obviously don't come in your size)

I'll get you pics either today Monday or Wed/Thurs...Been busy just bought Dunlop Star Specs so tires will be off the wheels soon.

Here are the pics....This is the front passenger side tire the back are not as worn as these and the front are like 80ish %. Now the inside is a little more worn then the outsides as I will note in the pic I run -2 front -1.5 rear.
