WRX has about 5500 miles on it, never raced, never modded (except for louder horns :).
Factory STI shifter, installed by Subaru before I got the car at 6 miles on the clock.
I've noticed recently, while spiritedly driving around town, after a modest take off from a stop, shifting into second is sometimes difficult, to the point where I feel I'm stressing the shifter too much to attempt it to get into 2nd.
So, 1st gear to 6500rpm or so, press clutch fully, a quick attempt at shifting to second... and it just doesn't go in! Eventually, after letting the car and engine slow down a little, it will go in w/o grinding or fuss... but that's no fun :(
Anyone else have this problem? It just started recently. I double clutch 90% of the time I downshift... IF I even downshift, which is usually pretty rare (that's what brakes are for :)
Might be visiting SOS soon?
