Up for sale is my swapped 1997 Impreza L. I want to put this up early to get interest, of course if someone wants to buy this immediately I can also do that. Before selling I would like to finish a couple things that I feel need to be done. One being that the UP is made for an STi and I have a WRX cross member so the UP hits the cross member under hard acceleration. The other two things were to get it aligned and pass emissions. I had it aligned by Mark at Strictly to factory specs and had the car emission tested and passed without any problem. One part that has been bothering me but that I have yet to find is a piece for the tan dash to install the glove compartment, it has been missing since the swap was done and haven’t found one at any junkyards yet.
The chassis has 225,xxx miles and the engine has 50,xxx. The body is in decent shape, better than when the car was handed over to me, I detailed and buffed it and brought back the shine it once had. Since then I’ve washed it nearly every week and waxed every other month. It could use a respray but looks were not a priority to me. It has an unpainted front passenger side fender and also a damaged rear passenger fender from a truck apparently. Otherwise it is in good shape for having nearly a quarter million miles on it. The car has been swapped since March of 2006 by what is now SUBA Performance and has been reliable ever since. In my opinion, this car is far from finished as I have just scratched the surface with mods. I am selling it as a “project” car but it can easily be used as a daily, as I have for the past two years. If you are looking to get rid of the tan interior SUBA Performance can do a dash swap to either an RS dash or WRX dash. They have a few RS dash boards in stock so that can be done without having to search for parts. $8,000.
Anything I missed don’t hesitate to ask.
