Hello,

Here is my situation. I have a 02 Wrx and about 4 months ago I was replacing my a/c belt but the bracket that holds the bottom pulley snapped on me. I recently just bought a new bracket and installed it today. I turned on the car but no cold air. Before all this happened my a/c was working fine. I been running without an a/c belt for 4 months but I don't think that has nothing to do with why my a/c is not blowing cold air. What can be wrong with my a/c? Any suggestions. Thanks.

first thing to check is see if the compressor is engaging. if its not then you may have a small leak somewhere. the compressor will not turn on if there is no refrigerent in the system

Yeah the compressor does not engage. I am going to have it checked I am pretty sure it certainly has a leak. Thanks.

you must have freon in the system in order for the compressor to turn on.

bump.. I had my a/c system recharged about a month ago. I had a bad oring on one of the hard lines that goes to the a/c compressor. Well just yesterday my a/c took a dump again. This time my compressor engages when I turn on the a/c but it does not blow cold air. Before I take it in again, can someone chime in and give me any suggestions. Thanks any help is appreciated.

Regardless of the so called smartest answer you like best, taking your car to a good mechanic to fix it right is what you need. Work on finding him/her.
