maybe I don't understand something, but don't GT30R's get these numbers on Mustang dynos as well (400+ on 93 oct on other dynos)? Of course the GT30R's spool ~500 rpm faster too. What made you go with the GT35R?

He could possibly have plans to go bigger in the near future. If not it might be a little to big of a turbo to achieve those numbers imho. I bet its a blast to drive though :) With my FPgreen setup I made 340hp and 376trq at the wheels on a mustang dyno just last weekend on 92 octane which kinda makes me wonder why you didn't make quite a bit more torque  Awesome car though turbo222, I love the wheels.

Looks like he was only running 20-24 lbs of boost. Nice numbers for low boost on good size turbo!

fulie- no we did not max the injectors, remember bigger isnt always better! yes a heartbreak dyno but i like it because i pull on people claiming 450whp!! not sure about meth but plans on a BC stroker kit are in the future!!

Flysti- yes stock block

Frank a- the reason our numbers are lower than expected is because we asked for a very conservative tune. we are barely pushing the limits of this setup because its a daily driver! we went with the GT35R because it can suck in small children and we want to build the motor next!

and yes its a blast to drive!!
Thanks everyone!
if you have anymore questions ask away!

id rather have 400whp mustang than 470 dynojet.

This dyno must be reading very low. I'm sure it pulls like a train! Nice car! :D

BTW it sounds like there is some surge right around 4.5k-5k. What hotside are you running on the turbo?

I'd say nice number for a GT35R on Conservative Tune. My brother's evo made 350whp on a Mustang Dyno running 28psi and 100oct. So you made the same just doing pump gas. I can tell if you maxed it out, hell would break loose!

Also you have any trouble with the Walbro 255Lph Fuel Pump at all? Was it providing enough fuel? Just want to know for my future plans.

thank you tuffstuff

the fuel pump works great plenty of fuel!!

low numbers for a 35r but i understand that he is on a very conservative tune and waiting for a solid block to make some real big power! Good luck with the car in the future...

i was just looking at the element gt65 stock location turbo and it makes just as much power as a rotated with the iwg, and is said to spool faster.
why should people continue to go rotated? the only advantage i can think of is the elimination of the stock intake. power seems the same on a non rotated setup.

just what ive noticed....

for a mustang dyno thats about right..at that boost and on a dynojet, you would probably see about 50whp more i'd think.

Because on rotated you can easily swap compressor sides out vs having to swap the entire turbo for an upgrade (correct me if I am wrong as I am sure I do not need to even ask ) plus with the rotated you can get the larger inlets like the 4". I have never seen a hybrid with anything bigger than a 3" inlet or any stock location turbo.

thats exactly what dan harman said around 450 460 whp on dyno jet!!

plus this turbo has so much more if you want it .... like with a built motor there is so much more power to be discovered

Because some people don't want to have to delete the TGV in order to put in a bigger turbo. Some use it so they can move around the MAF Sensor like Perrin's Boost Tube, or a rotated Intake Manifold with the MAF in the front. Which makes atmospheric BOV an ease. I prefer a rotated setup then let's say APS SR56 or FP RED due to the location. The inlet can be a 4"inch instead of the limited 3"inch in the stock location.

You got alot more research to do then son if that's what you've noticed.. Not trying to be an ass but rotated turbokits just about always make more/better power than a bolt-on turbo becuase they dont have any restrictions like bolt-ons do.. There are some great bolt-on turbos out there now that can compete with some of the smaller rotated mount turbokits but when it coems down to making the most power and having the best powerband IMO rotated is defiantely the way to go.. Just do some research and look into people who have done both, almost EVERY guy that has done both bolt-on and rotated say they wish they would have just went rotated from the start and been done with it..

how did your tuner like using the accssport to tune the car. I am basically going to be running the same setup except with a built motor and everyone is saying to do HYDRA or UTEC or something along those lines as the accessport is to limited. But by the look of your tune it seems like there was no problems. any info you have on ease/difficutly of the tune would be a huge help for me!

by the way, awesome number for 20psi on pump...defintly a lot more potential with stronger motor!
