got a couple dings i want to get rid of. anybody try those consumer based pop-a-dent things. the dents arent anything crazy just annoy the sh** out of me. if someone has found they work id rather buy one of those then pay a shop to do it.

any thoughts?

:unamused: That doesnt work. Metal has to formed out not sucked out.

It worked in the video, on metal. Explain your theory

He's right. Once you pop the dent out, it's not flat. it's like a snapple cap. Since its still dented outside, the dent doesn't really go away, its just reversed.

You may be thinking of paintless dent removal, where they insert a tool thingy and massage the dent out from the other side.

Have a pro do it. Its not that much. It really is an art. They train hundreds of hours to do it right. A couple little door dings should'nt cost more than $150.

I dont know about that one, dent repair is extremely expensive.

Use dry ice on a warm day. You rub the block of ice in circles around the dent (use gloves) and the metal forms back to the original shape. This only works on smaller dings without creases, but it works great and only costs a couple of bucks.

google it.

I just had the pdr done on my car, had about 10-12 small dings removed, I cannot honestly see where they once were. HE only charged me 210$ to do it also. I would look into that

It works, but extreme temperature changes are also very harsh on your paint.

this absolutely doesn't work i tried even with a heat gun putting out hotter air than a hair drier. don't waste your time i suggest getting a glue tool that glues a small peg to the car and has a small tripod device that pulls the peg till the glue breaks free then simply peel the glue off and the dent is gone.

Ehhh, this has the same exact effects as the air duster can held upside down.
