I was just looking over here at my list of parts to see if Im missing anything and I think Im pretty much all set. Can you guys lemme know if I am missing something or if you guys recommend me getting anything to support these mods. The car should be going under the knife in about 3-4 weeks

My room looks like a warehouse with all these boxes. I got so bored I sharpie'd everything so I know whats in what box. That list doesnt even include my suspension and my audio system. New Pads and rotors go on this week as well as the exterior mods , woohoo

pretty much all of them. header to heads, header to uppipe, uppipe to turbo, turbo to downpipe, etc....dont wanna show up there missing all the gaskets you know. are you doing all of the installs yourself?

shiiiit, there is always something missing. Should I just purchase them from the dealer or would those even work with the aftermarket stuff. I just returned some exhaust manifold gaskets (could have saved some gas). I already have the ewg gaskets.

get a perrin big maf....David L. went with a 18g and blew the maf. he had to buy a big maf..

i talked to chris from xxtuning and set an appointment for my fpgreen, gave me a list of things...had everything besides the perrin big maf. also a step colder spark plugs

I actually have Step Colder plugs but they were for my '06 WRX. Would thoe work for the STi??

not really sure....i know they have they're charts online...check the product number. i'm leaning towards no they wont work. but idk

I'd recommend switching out your catback to something a little less restrictive. I wish I had done it before my tune and I am sure Chris/Danny at XX will echo my thoughts if you decide to go with them.
Also a compression/leakdown test, t bolt clamps on anything that needs them, colder plugs (as said before), oil change...just things off the top of my head. Good luck, both places should do a nice job for you!

Isn't the SPT catback made for connecting to a 2.5" downpipe with donut gasket? is that Downpipe you're putting in only 2.5"? If so, definitely swap that out.

Dare I ask how much that whole set up is costing to have installed/tuned? not to mention parts prices. Gotta be a coupla G's.

One of my concerns is my exhaust. I know the EWG will be loud WHEN I do push the car hard but I would like to keep it as low key as possible when Im not racing. I figured the SPT was a good choice. Do you have any suggestions for a quiet yet non restrictive exhaust?

well most of those parts shall be installed by myself and a few friends who have agreed to help. I was gonna go down to DSG today to kind of talk to them in person on what I wanted to do and get an idea of cost and a turnaround time for the work.

Well DSG or XX will determine if you stay with an access port or not. Looks like you got most of what you need. If you dont you just run to auto zone....

So when is this going down? I am a pro at FMIC's now :lol:
