After many months of research and development, we are proud to announce that our drop-in integrated vent gauge kits are finally here and ready to ship out. Our integrated vent gauge kit is designed to be a direct OEM replacement piece, with no extra modifications necessary to the vents or the vent housings. All vent functions, excluding the sideways and up/down tilt, will remain functional. Everything is completely reversible, if you ever decide to return the car back to stock.

*Note: The PSI says -9.8 and it says 20 on the gauge because inhg does not equal PSI. If you do the conversion, you will see that they match up.

The VMR brand is the newest line of performance parts, wheels and accessories by Velocity Motoring. Whether your are looking to dress up your vehicle from our VMR Wheels line, add a little bit of extra 'go' from our VMR Sport Tuning products, or seeking all out, no compromise strength and lightweight alloys from our soon to be released VMR FORGED wheels, we strive to bring you only the best in quality and service at the most competitive prices.

thanks.

We are constantly trying to expand our line, but this is just the first of our product, so it is all that we have available right now.

Keep checking back, and see what new things we have.

Does the vent still work?

What size is that gauge?

VMRSport
05-19-2008, 03:35 PM
Yep, the vent still functions like normal. There's still the same amount of air coming out of the vents. If you want to test it, you can place a medium sized round object in front of the vents, and see how much air still is able to come through. Obviously, the vents will no longer be able to move sideways with the gauge in there. They are still able to tilt up and down though.

The size of the gauge is roughly 40mm. The vents are designed to work with our gauge specifically, however, there might be other gauges out there that are of a similar size. We recommend that our vents be used in conjunction with our gauges.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

thanks.

any chance of green illumination to match the wrx's?

VMRSport
06-02-2008, 06:48 PM
No green illumination available right now.

We only have amber/red and white at the moment. I think amber overall has a nicer look, cause a lot of cars come with stock amber light up gauges. White is nice if you have a slightly more modified interior, etc.

does the gauge swivel to aim towards the driver?

VMRSport
06-02-2008, 08:50 PM
The gauge does not swivel. That would make the vent pod piece to be a whole lot more complicated.

We decided on the positioning of the gauge before putting it into production.

I went with an angle that sit/fit fairly flush with the rest of the dash and knobs/vents/gauges on the car, but still easily viewable from the driver's sitting position.

IMO, white seems to stick out a little too much against the otherwise all green illumination of the wrx (pre '08). whispers.."make it" ;)

VMRSport
06-04-2008, 01:26 PM
Currently, there hasn't been enough demand for the green illumination to be made yet. It is definitely something we want to produce in the future, just when depends on how many we can sell of our current stock.

How bout I offer you guys green gauge replacements, at a discounted price, once we start getting them in? Hard to make promises on when, or a price right now, but I definitely will do my best to make everyone happy, haha.

Let me know.

How hard is it to change the bulb or LED's if need be?

ALSO- have you guys thought about developing a Drivers Vent Gauge? Maybe a pod that is compatible with 45mm gauges and still keep some venting around the gauge?

Thanks!

VMRSport
07-10-2008, 06:55 PM
I am unsure of how hard it would be to change the LED. I have taken a look at the gauge, but it seems like it would be very hard to take apart, to get to the LEDs back there.

I personally think that the red matches the gauge needles, etc, pretty well. It also gives it a fairly stock and clean look for the car.

so wait im confused. Is the vent still functional or not? not just blows air but swivel?

VMRSport
07-11-2008, 09:52 PM
Yes, air can still be blown out of it. The only thing that the vents can no longer do is swivel left to right.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

thanks.

Fitch08

Sure, anyones feedback as far as their experience with the gauge. I've been looking for a clean mount for a much needed boost gauge and this looks perfect.

Sounds and looks very promising for sure! So what have you been selling more of the white or red?

VMRSport
07-18-2008, 03:48 PM
It is almost a split between the two. I personally think that the amber compliments the Subaru's interior lights pretty well (even though they are green).

Let me know if you have any other questions.

thanks.
