View Full Version : GC Spoiler Comparison Pics
Hey there guys, so basically since i got the GC, ive been wanting an upgrade from the bland sedan spoiler, idealy i would love an RB5, but thanks to mynxi,
I can proudly show off a coupe spoiler for now.
anywho while i was doing the install i had a major problem with the bolts being stripped, so it sat wingless for a day, b4 i could drop by the dealer to try and track down some new ones.
but i took this time to take pics from 3 angles, without a spoiler, with the sedan spoiler and the coupe spoiler. and well i thought it was pretty cool to get the comparison of these 3 options on the same vehicle from the same angles, so i thought i would throw it up here.

Hopefully they all align and are resized properly lol
rcdrivercrl 05-03-2008, 04:41 PM I like the coupe one and maybe later on, you might want to paint your sideskirts.:)
Bondy007 05-03-2008, 06:29 PM Nice pictures. I too debated over which spoiler to get for the longest time and I'm ecstatic I was patient and located myself a RB5 spoiler. Here are some pictures I took a week or two ago right before I sold my Blitz. The quality may not be that good as I took it on my cell phone but at least you can see what it looks like. A VIC member referred me to http://www.scoobymods.com/forums/showthread.php?t=45 ; for spoiler comparisons which really helped my decision. Feel free to surf there and I hope its useful to you!

No wing, get a hood with no hood scoop, then everyone will think you are driving a new blue colour civic.

So what's your point? Way to go at making fun other people's cars. BTW, you need to get your eyes check if you think that a wingless and non-hood scoop 2.5rs looks like a civic.

That would be my mistake, I misread the thread thinking it was about choosing a spoiler
And there is no point of it of what I posted, there is already a member who has taken the hood scoop and the wing off his rs, which performance wise; makes absolutely no difference. The owner of that car is the person whom rounded up the troops for the :)AWD:) group sticker buy. Darren, thats his name.
RB5... those wings are so damn hard to find since no new replicas exist, and people rarely sells them because they look so good on the car. I still wanted mine and never manage to pull the trigger on one. Same goes for P1 lip but at least replicas exist so you can buy new
RE3Rotor 05-04-2008, 12:09 AM RB5 replica in CF on eBay? (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/98-01-SUBARU-IMPREZA-SEIBON-CARBON-FIBER-WING-SPOILER_W0QQitemZ270189512587QQcmdZViewItem?_trksi d=p3756.m20.l1116) I was thinking of getting this but it's just too expensive for me. Good thing I held out on it and found myself a great deal.
My not-so-accurate 22b adjustable replica spoiler:

RE3Rotor 05-04-2008, 12:17 AM Just for kicks, here are some picture of an E46 M3 lip spoiler on the car when it was wingless.

Usually it's around 8. We have a big family and like to have projects that never see the light of the day.:p

Darren still has his scoop!
mynxi 05-04-2008, 02:58 AM Ryan: Wing looks good for sure :) Glad to see it go to a great member and such a mint GC!
Wow where did you guys find the RB5 and 22B replica? Looking good! Nice FD btw :o
clsmooth 05-04-2008, 03:57 AM My favorite wing for the GC is still the stock RS Coupe one

I know after I hunted down my wing, a few 22Bs and such popped up on rs25.com
RE3Rotor 05-04-2008, 12:39 PM I stumbled upon this one in a thread asking for where to get one. A fellow member in WA said he has one for sale. The OP passed the chance of buying it onto me.
