I just got done installing my coolingmist vari-cool trunk kit and everything is hooked up a-ok. My problem is that it wont get out diagnostic mode (flashing green light). Im using a serial to usb cable to have it communicate to my laptop but I dont think that is the problem. When I open the veri-cool datalogger and go to connect.. and click connect it doesn't do anything.. I go to the other menu and it says NOT CONNECTED in a red box. I dont know how to get this to work I tried everything. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

your serial to USB cable what brand is it? Did you install the software that came with the cable? your serial to USB cable will not work with out software. We find that 99% of the time when the customer cannot connect it is related to the cable.

Its a Gigaware from radioshack. I did install the driver disc that came with the cable. Ill try installing them again and see what happens.

I could not get the radioshack one to work. I use keyspan. www.keyspan.com

If I cant get it tot work today ill try that cable.
