How can i check what engine i have? closed deck or open deck? is there a tag somewhere?

My gc8 came swapped and i would like to know it better. the guy said it was a v2. ej20g sti engine. but i would like to make sure and he said it has a td05 but how can i check if its a 14g or a 16g?

well to figure out what turbo it is......poke your head in your engine bay with a nice lil flashlight or in the day time. take a peek. the model number will be stamped right on there.

does the manifold have red paint? or flaking red paint? not that you can tell completely if it's an sti from that because someone could just paint it but the sti's did come with a red manifold.

is it a silver slanty intercooler?

and it does have red manifold but the guy started flaking it off so he can repaint it. yes silver slanted intercooler.

I Just wanna figure out which it is you know? not knowing exactly is making me anxious lol

if the sticker on the timing belt cover is still intact, you can use the number above the bar code for refference.
