I am just trying to get some more ideas of what might be the problem with my car. Its a 98 rs with a complete 06 wrx swap, basically everything from the wrx into my car excluding seats and exterior parts (thats about all).

The problem now is the car cranks but doesnt start for some reason, that which we are trying to figure out right now. the car does not get ground to the injectors or the coil packs, so no fuel no spark = no start.

The guy who is helping me out with my project had a question about engine damage which got me thinking,

the car i got this all from crashed by flipping somehow (black ice fast sliding to dry road apparently) and then landing on the driver's side rear roof.

1. is there anything that could have happened to the engine that might prevent it to start?

2. if not, i checked all the things that connect to the immobilizer for continuity, and all were good, which leaves me with doubt as to whether the immobilizer might be my problem. (also the grounds are fine as well).
does anyone have any suggestions as to what might be causing no fuel or spark?

I did the same swap last week. Check your main relay(brown connector, mounted under left side of dash on pillar). The RS has one side of the coil tied to ground but the 06 ECU signal is a ground signal. Take the black wire on the coil and connect it to ignition +12V. The other side of the coil should be the signal from the ECU.

If you have any doubts, the fuel pump is also powered by this relay. Turn your ignition on and listen for the pump to turn on. It should turn on then shut off when it reaches fuel system pressure.

Your injectors should have 12V on one pin when the ignition is on. They only have ground from the ECU when the engine is cranking/running.

check your cam position and crank position sensors as well. injectors and spark will not work unless those are working.

I'm using a stock 07 ECU with Immobilizer.
