Just wanna know what AFR to run with meth? say 50/50...

depends on which kit you have.
but a rule thumb is lean to ~12:1

is there like a measurement for the increase in octane? some indicators or that sort. i mean i dont really see a change in afr when using meth right... hope i have a better way to put this across

I have the ECU set to put ~13.2:1 into the motor and my PWI-1 with 60% methanol brings it to ~12.5:1 on the wide band, but thats spraying a lot of water/meth

I am targeting 12.5 with a CoolingMist Stage 2 with a 760cc injector (12 gph) running 60% meth.

I have mine around 12 in the mid and tapers to 11.7ish at redline. I know it is rich but I wanted a safe tune. I still picked up about 47hp and 32ft/lbs with 50/50.

I run ~13.4:1(actual wbo2 afr) in the meat of the powerband(~3800-6500) tapering to ~12.5:1(actual wbo2 afr) at redline.:D I have not done a road dyno graph since leaning out that much, however buttdyno says its making substantially more torque than the ~12.5:1AFR I did previously on meth.

I'm running a 7gph at the throttle body & a 1.3gph pre-turbo. I wouldn't necessarily recommend that to anyone else but it works for me.

What do you think about the pre turbo nozzle? How much benefit have you seen from it? Did you always run both or did you add the pre turbo later? Just trying to get an idea of the difference it made.

I love the preturbo injector, however I have yet to raise boost beyond the 24psi I run on pump & pump +meth, but I'm running 6 degrees more advance in the full load area vs. 4 degrees I was running when only running one at the TB.

every car is different, every setup is different, its something thats really up to you and your tuner...

seriously, how hard is it to tune a meth setup? i mean my tuner has nv done it before. Also, im looking at specific sets of concerns and lessons learnt that i need to take note. Im using the coolingmist 3d. So, any feedback is most welcomed.

actually its not difficult.
do baseline pull to verify afr's
adjust afr when water/meth starts.
adjust boost for when water/meth starts
adjust timing for when water/meth starts
so really not any different than a regular dyno tune.

my kit can do 3d-3 inputs.
question is, how do i know i specifically need more here and less there? and where and when to spray etc etc?

well if you got a decent kit.
it should already have a predetermined psi of boost
when it activates. it should follow injector duty cycle
for the amount of spray..

but you would have know that if you did your homework
and read up on each that is available.
