View Full Version : Caliper bracket bolts: reuse or get new ones?

When replacing rotors, do you typically reuse the bolts that hold the caliper brackets to the hub, or do you replace them with new ones?

The factory service manual (for my car) is silent on this issue. The bolts don't seem to be of the one use, stretch-type, so they look okay...but I get paranoid about them shearing.

Thanks,
Dave

Used mine many many times.

Reuse.

They're just steel bolts. Yes you can reuse them as many times as you want. Just torque properly and you'll be fine.
