I went through some old threads on another forum about shurflo pumps used with Meth. A guy who sold his own kits for awhile used to modify the Shurflo pump to run Meth by removing the O-ring the swells up and blocks the pump. He also bypassed the top switch and ran power directly to the pump motor. Now I have been running water injection for about 6 years with no mods to the standard pump and it is fine. I'm planning on running meth soon and before I go and start removing parts I wanted to know if anyone had any experience in do these or any mods to the pumps themself. (I have a DIY kit BTW).

FYI,

if you bypass the switch and get a clog there will be nothing to turn the pump off which could cause serious damage, ruptured hose, etc. IF you choose to bypass the switch make sure you have an electronic device that can detect a clog and shut the pump off.
