I currently run stock internals on my MY06 STI w/ an FP Green, Perrin FMIC, Walbro fuel pump, aquamist kit, big injectors, Cobb Accessport w/ protune, etc.

Should I consider upgrading internals?

A little more info...car is a daily driver and tracked even now and then.

Thanks for the input.

I'm by no means a guru or expert. But in my research for upgrading my turbo i saw plenty of people running stock internals on greens. I would say green is still in the clear for stock internals, but feel free to take this with a grain of salt.

If you search around in the proven power forums I'm sure you could find plenty of green setups and see who all is running stock internals.

with a coservative tune especially running meth you should be ok- I am running a similar setup and have it tuned 20 hp below what the tuner got it to

I bought this car with the mods it currently has and believe it runs 18psi...I will have it tuned locally this summer as well.

The previous owner had it dynoed to 400whp. I just hope the stock internals hold up.

you should be fine dont beat on it. get a kinda conservative tune. meth on like 22 pounds or so. and dont beat the crap out of it. you should be alright with that. a green isnt making close to 400 wheel on 18 pounds. probably not even 350 on a mustang dyno.

from what ive gathered, you will be fine for a while.eventually you will have to change internals or blow it up.it all depends on the car and the tune.ill be running a dom3 on stock internals, and im already going to be saving up for the bottom end.

yea def not on 18lbs but it may be possible to get 400 with the meth but closer to 24/25 lbs

yeah def, i made 375 on 24 pounds with meth, im going to add 1 more pound and unequal length headers and hope to get there. and this was a mustang dyno.

i hate to say it but i scrapped the green and traded it in for a dom 3 after talking to u the other night- 3 more lb/min

I'd say if you're running the green, you'll be fine with the stock internals. Some headwork will make it flow better and get more power on lower boost. Otherwise you're fine.

stock internals on a green for 12k now with no issues. its all in the tune baby. good tune=happy motor.

Stock internals on sz49. 380/380 pump, 420/470 e85.

Yes, it's going to shorten the life of the motor, that's a known. How long will it last? That's the real question. So much depends on the tune, keeping a regular maintenance schedule, and how it's driven, it's impossible to say.

stock internals on a green with anything but a bad tune will last a LONG time

You shouldnt face any problems with that setup as long as its not detonating like crazy (bad tune).
