I don't seem to be getting the same throttle response I used to. In my searches my lead candidates are O2 sensor, fuel filter or MAP sensor. My question is for the sensors do I need to have a garage run a diagnostic to find out if that is the problem or is there a quick and easy check I can do. Car is running fine just an issue with poor response. I think the problem became more noticable after I cleaned my K&N air filter and wonder if that messed up my MAP sensor? But from my searches it seems the MAP sensor is pretty robust compared to a MAF sensor which I presume I don't have as this is a MY2000 2.5rs. Car is all stock except for the air filter and hella horns that I never use. I'm not much for working on cars so any advice should be dumbed down for me.
Also in my searches I came across a few sites offering a 2000 - 2004 Subaru Impreza Repair Service Manual Download. Anyone familar with this? Would it be worth getting? I get a bit tired of being what seems to be the 1% in a 99% turbo world. So if the manual is for the "newer" models I probably won't get it. Thanks for any help

am getting the same thing after installing a K&N drop in filter.
If you get the answer to this please let me know...
IMOP it may be the MAF sensor... If it is what can I do to fix. it?

likely candidate is the front 02 sensor
these can go bad without offering a CEL....

also... plugs. coil pack. wires
when was the last time these items were serviced?
