I was cleaning off my battery terminals last night and grounded the battery with the wrench while I was tightening the nuts back up. So there was a spark and and a pop as excepted. Now with the car off the fuel gauge and odometer stay on. I'm guessing a relay is shot and is stuck in an open circuit. I'm just not sure which one it is or where it would be located. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I believe that is how they are made to function, mine always has since day one.

my gas gaue always stays in the same spot when the car is off, and the digits always stay on on the odemtor.

....for our model year, this is normal. For later years I believe the odometer does not stay on but the gas gauge will still show the level when the key is removed.
