I'm wondering if anyone has seen any thing similar to the below link.. however instead of measuring the A/F from the oxygen sensors, it would measure the throttle position 0 - 100%...

would it be the same specs?
yes yes.. i know i can tell that by my right foot..

I know someone did it with their tach on a vw but I guess anything is possible why on the otherhand is a differnt questin.

Sounds like another reason I need a scan gauge II. I think it can easily been done. It allows you to create your own gauges. Clicky

I was actually thinking about something like this. For me (NA engine) I think I can just install a vacuum gauge sender and then make a series of LEDs to light up. Greens starting at -14.7psi, then some yellows, then some reds ending at 0psi. I think it would be pretty useful to get some feedback on just how hard I'm pushing the engine. Kind of becomes a game to go as fast as possible while lighting up as few LEDs as possible. Should help the gas mileage immensely too.

I was just thinking that would be pretty cool, than i remembered us turbo guy's can do this with our boost gauge (accelerate out of boost and at a -10 vaccum) but i still would like to see the idea through to happining.

Yes, you could use this circuit for any (reasonably small) sensor voltage you'd like to display on a linear bar graph. Just adjust the values for R1 and R2 to the appropriate voltage range for your sensor and the brightness you want.
Personally I'd tap into the existing throttle position sensor lead to the computer rather than try to jury-rig a potentiometer and figure out how to route long wires to avoid unintentional coupling. Usually you don't want to electrically load any existing sensor, but the input impedance of the LM3914 signal pin is very high, so you shouldn't have problems.
