my hid kit has 2 male ends that usually will connect the bulbs to the adapter to the car, as you all know the wrx lights have their own adapter... can i just cut the male ends off the hid kit and splice them to the wires for the oem bulb wires? hoping to accomplish this tonight, so any info asap would be great!
If you are talking about the wires FROM the ballast to the bulbs, you should NOT cut or splice them. They carry quite high voltage and need to be better than stock wires.
If you are talking about the wires from the car to the ballast that carry 12 volts, yes those can be spliced, though it's maybe not the best way to do it.

not a good way to do it.
good way to do it is to use a pigtail connector on the 9007/h1/h7 bulb connector to a relay harness that runs the hid ballast off the battery... so your low beams go to the 85/86 terminals on a relay and the ballast gets run off the 87 with the 30 coming straight from battery +
HIDs pull way too much current on startup for your stock wires so you need a relay harness.
don't do this if you have more research to do. it can cause permanent damage but it's also just annoying to have to redo something because you did a ****ty job the first time.

handsdown.... i like your idea, but im having a little trouble visualizing it... it there a graph or drawing that would help me figure out what wires go where?

dude honestly, i HATE hid's in stock headlights and i really don't want to help you out with this. get sti lights, or tsx projectors to retrofit in so your optics will match your lightsource... it will be better lighting for you and everyone around you. it's not worth the glare and unfocused, narrow beams to just throw in the kit you have.
in spite of how i feel about it though i'll point you in the right direction...
but the diagrams and stuff are all out there, i'd suggest the HIDplanet forum university thread about wiring harnesses... here's a link.

please reconsider this. hid kits are WORSE to see by than stock lights because they don't focus the light properly. for the safety and courtesy of everyone around your car, hold off until you have hid projectors to retro in.

well it's really better that you do the wiring part right before you cause a fire or melted wire on the oem harness.
