Nice numbers. What size are those tires, they look really wide.

How did you fit the intercooler and still be SM legal?

btw nice numbers! I have the same turbo waiting to go in. Gives me incentive to get off my butt and install it lol

nice power #s,but you need el headers to help your torque.torque seems pretty low.

got Volk TE37's(17x9) for show/street......RE01R's 245/40/17

track setup is.... 5zigen FN01R-C(18x9.5) ....Hoosier A6 285/30/18

Those are the spec tire that all the evos run to win nationals, so i figured i would give it a try.

Actually all the autocross events around the area that I go to allow me to run SM.....when I go to SCCA regional events I usually have to run XP......

As far as getting off your butt......lol.....I took a ride in a buddy's car right after he got tuned and that did it for me....I was sold on the idea of pretty good spool and pretty crazy top end.....when you finally put it in you will be pleasantly surprised and will be quite happy you got off ur
a**....LOL

I was looking into EL headers, but at this time I don't see the point in doing it bc i am 90% sure i am gong to be selling the car "as is" within the next yr to yr and a half.

THE only reason I would be selling it is that after seeing some Z06 corvettes eat up exige's and evo's at the regional pro solo, I am really wanting a new 09 z06 or wait a yr or 2 and buy a used zr1.

How's the spool on the course? That's the only thing i'm concerned about with this size turbo for autox( partly why I haven't installed it yet). Well that and i'm trying to figure out how the heck I can fit a FMIC within SM rules. I guess i'll have to use the bend/clearance rule hahaha

An aftermarket set of headers will ultimately give you the most gains, but his ported/polished/coated elbows and cross pipe (I assume that is what he has) is pretty close to power and spool. I dont feel like searching right now, but someone did a GREAT comparison of several different exhaust manifold options.

I think a larger exhaust housing is needed to see a nice bump in torque. Also, the SPT cat-back is probably a bit of a restriction for a stock location 30R. I'm kind of surprised it made the power it did with that exhaust.

Great numbers! I LOVE your Volk TE37's. I hope to get the same exact wheel but in an 18" for my 07 SWP STI :)

It actually spools pretty damn good considering its a fairly large turbo........it only spools 400 rpm's slower than my vf39 (i compared dyno plots).....so all in all i am very happy with this turbo for autox / time trials.

the Grimmspeed exhaust manifold has almost identical pipe diameter as the perrin's.... so i dunno how much of i difference it would of made...

also I ran my cutout open for my tune...so i pretty much had no restriction at all...the cutout is welded in the DP......and honestly i run it open 99% of the time......its loud as helll....but i luv the sound of the turbo spooling and the EWG opening......it doesnt get much better or louder than that:devil:

not really,i pretty much have the same mods as him.i had pnp stockers and grimmespeed xpipe, switched them for perrin el's and made 9whp and 36ftlb over the pnp stockers.to me,thats a big difference.

wow....36 ft/lbs......thats a pretty significant gain from going from ported stockers to EL perrin's.....

36ft/lbs is huge gains over stock headers. I wonder if that has to do with the EL as opposed to the non-EL...
