I took a heat gun to my headlights and popped the cover off to try and clean it and get rid of the scratches on the lens cover. (Is that what you would call it?)

Is there anyway to get rid of those scratches? I was thinking I could just buy some cheap ebay headlights and then just heat them up and take the cover off and put them on my headlights.

Like say buy another set of these and pop the cover off and put it on my JDM headlights:

yeah that's what most people call it.

i can't see the scratches you're talking about but some can be polished out and some can't.

the ebay ones should fit but they could be different shaped around the bottom since the housings are much different on the back. it's worth a try if the scratches don't come out with some polish.

The scratches aren't visible in any pics I have, just in person up close. It bugs me.

definatly not jdm headlights. if you wet sand and clear coat them it will get rid of the scratches and make them smooth as a babies bottom.

actually jdm sti spec C's headlights look just like that, but with clear turn signal globes and orange bulbs(the bulb itself is orange instead of the thing surrounding it)

however jdm sti projectors are different. it's not clear from this guy's post whether he has cleared 9007 lights / spec c lights or sti projectors.

and again, some scratches are too deep to be taken out by polishing unless you polish most of the plastic away. it all depends.

I know the ones pictured aren't JDM headlights. If you read the statement just above it, I said I would buy another set of these(the ones on the pics) and pop the lense off and put them on my JDM headlights.

I have these(the ones pictured...):
