Here it is, early November and once again the MediaSpigot crew finds itself in Las Vegas. Hot cars, hot parts and hot girls, that is what the SEMA show is all about and this year, the new WRX and STI are represented in force. It is a great time to be a WRX owner. With lots of new parts and strong support from all quarters of the tuning world, the Subaru driver has lots of choices when it comes to putting together a killer performance car. While it is only the first day, we have seen some very cool parts that you can either buy right now, or should be available early next year. How about a new standalone EMS system from Cosworth? Based on a Pectel unit, this is international-level, motorsports-grade hardware that will plug and play in your late-model turbocharged STI.

Synapse is also on hand with their new, easy to use manual boost controller and high-grade bypass valves and atmosphere blow-off valves.

Subaru of America, a SEMA staple, is on hand with a big array of cars from a Forester STI (really a heavily modified XT) a Forester rescue vehicle, Travis Pastrana’s Rally America championship-winning rally STI and even Paul Walker’s STI from the upcoming “Fast and the Furious” movie.

No SEMA show would be complete without booth hunnies, and while the number of busty booth beauties doesn’t seem to be as bountiful this year; there is still plenty of eye-candy for when you tire of looking at parts.

Awsome, except for the Fat & Curious car. That two-tone black/silver just doesnt work for me. It doesnt really follow the body lines.

This is ftw. My next EMS was going to be a Pectel. I'll never buy a plug-and-play unit, butthis is still a good thing. Pectel > all.

Veilside, they had an RX-7 in the first movie.

That STI, from the new Fast And Furious movie, is disgusting. Same goes for the one with the CF hood.

My part guy told me about this also and he said it is legit and going to happen....

He told me because I have an 04 Forester XT and I really love it, and I have been saying how much I wish they would come out with the STI Forester over here, because there is a demand for it.....

The XTI was cool, but my favorite part of SEMA this year was meeting Jessi Combs... Mmm, dream girl..:)

Hey guys, here is a bit from my second day walking around the show. It is a smaller show this year, but there is still lots of good stuff to take a look at. Like a 2005 STI with a Burnup front bumper. New Prodrive wheels and a few other cool tidbits. Look for full coverage in Subiesport.

Tell me about it I want all the low down and parts inside that beast. Then I will replicate it onto my OBP 2009 FXT

Ah, the Forester XTi is simple - take one Forester chassis, and completely strip out the drivetrain and front seats. Then take one 08+ Impreza STI drivetrain and seats, implant into Forester. That, in a nutshell, is what was done with that Forester XTi concept.

I pushed them hard on doing at least a version of the JDM Forester STI, which uses the Legacy 6-speed.

I thought there was a big lack of Suby's at Sema this year for that matter fact I didn't see Cobb or Aps there! But Crosworth hadsome nice new Suby stufflike there New intake manifold! ;)

na i didnt get a pic...my boyfriend was jabbin too much with the guys of the booth. it really felt different then i realized the car was worth more than my life so i got out lol...i found that many booths were in weird places. but all and all it was a good experience...just next time im gonna run 5 miles evryday before going again...my legs are spent!

I know this car, it is AWD. The wheels are all the same width just have different offsets.

Walking the whole show war torture, but worth it. I agree the show was about the Evo X and the new GTR, but the suby's did pretty well.

Who knows if they will let you...they wouldnt let segways in cept for the plastic shield cops. But i have to agree walking around the show for 6 hrs then walking around the strip in Vegas was equal to running a marathon in my book ( i have run one) next time i'll stretch before going in lol

Lots of big names missing this year, Michelin being one of the more disappointing since they usually have some hot cars there.

By far the car of the show (if not official) was the Dodge Challenger.
