i need help to figure out what is wrong with my hid my passenger side headlight didnt work... i have an 06 sti.. i already bought a new set of bulbs and cost me a grip but still didnt work.... can anybody help me to test what is wrong??! what do i need to know?!?

Is it flat out completely? Flickering? Prob bad ballast... if you can switch the ballast to the pass side and it comes on then you need to replace one ballast. Ballasts mount underneath the headlight housing so you'll have to remove the whole thing to do this. GL let us know how it turns out

A simialar situation happened to me so i took my car to the dealship to have it covered under warranty and it turned out that my headlight housing was cracked and it cause strain on the bulb and the projector and that is the reason my light went out. So it is a week later and i am having the housing and bulb replaced free of charge. Do you have any warranty left?

im not quite sure if i have warranty left.. i have 50K++ on the car right now... yes i do like to take my car everywhere i go...:D

and i just replaced my headlight housing still usdm housing straight from renick subaru in fullerton...


i can get a new ballast of a new G37 coupe... as i was reading it is the same one that we have.. idk...

i just picked up ballast and igniter from a friend of mine off a G37 and as i was reading one other thread that it is the same... but i am just wondering if it is really the same one... imma try to work on it later after work...:diaf:

okie.. i took everything apart and tried to mess with it friday night.... it wasnt the bulb or ballast or the igniter.... then magically it just worked out of the blue.... saturday... so i am guessing that it is possible that either any of the parts are bad.. more of an electrical problem... but i am still going to get it checked out.. any day this week.....

Did you recently open the lights?
