Just did this last night. I've been driving up and down our hill in treacherous winter slushy ice and deep snow for the last 3 weeks, and what do I do last night? - moving my car I don't see a pile of solidified snow in front of the car and run head-on into it doing about 3 mph.
It pops the front bumper cover off the right side and the black fog cover pops completely out. But the real damage is to the bottom of the front bumper cover on the faring.
I was able to pop everything back together successfully, and tried re-stretching the clear-bra across the crack to diminish it, but while it now looks much better than hanging there, the crack is still very apparent and the clear-bra will only hold for so long.
What are my options here? From much of the other postings I've found, I think I'm pretty much doomed to the dealer or repair shop, however, I've even tossed around the idea of going back to the Clear-bra shop I went to originally to see if he could re-apply the section to bring the crack into place better.
Any suggestions, or am I pretty much SOL?
Much appreciated.
