I am pretty worried about getting MY02 WRX. I was intensely set on it for a while but now i am kinda weary with all the problems i have heard on the forums. The CE light and the paint chips and the trouble starting. I just dont want to get the car and find out it needs to go back to the shop for this and that. I have enough problems driving a Ford. Please tell me why i should still consider the car.

Check out my log of owners who HAVE NOT had CE problems in the WRX Non-Technical forum. I was a bit concerned about it myself, but not much so anymore. Besides the car has a warranty so even if you are one of the few unlucky ones (happens with all makes and models with one thing or the other) it will be rectified at no cost. All things considered, I still haven't heard anything catostrophic about the CE lights that would keep me from taking delivery of mine in 31 day. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/biggrin.gif

It is a dang Subaru, relax.
Think of it this way:
People rarely report a LACK of problems with a product, whether it's a car or a shaver.
There are always problems with things. A car has between 15 and 20 THOUSAND parts! If one or two go bad, it's not the end.
Relax, be at ease with your purchase. You WILL enjoy it!

You drive a Taurus now and you're worried about problems with Subaru quality??!! http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/tongue.gif
I've had five Subies and I think I will probably always have one. They are great, SUPER tough cars.

My Taurus SHO was a nice car at one time. I stress was. But I guess everything is under warranty and all. Looks like a 227 hp rally bred Rex is the car for me. Thanks all. By the way my sho has thrashed many of cars in its day. I can name a million.

Buy one or not. It's your choice of course. And if you're so worried that you're sweating it now, then it's probably not for you.
Four weeks and 2000 miles later, it's still far and away the best car I've ever owned. One CE light from a loose gas cap and two or three sticky shifts from 2nd to 3rd. Let's see, that makes it 5,765,988 points for and 2 points against. If the odds are still too heavy for you, this ain't your car. Right, a 92 Taurus SHO and you're worried about problems with Subarus? Man, that's not even in the realm of reality.
